Ari Temkin (b. 1998, Miami, FL) is a mixed-media artist whose work spans experimental video, AI-driven installations, and satire. Temkin critiques systems of categorization and exposes the typological biases embedded in datasets used to train generative artificial intelligence. By interrogating how AI encodes systemic antisemitism, their work challenges post-truth narratives and satirizes the mathematical quantification of culture, addressing contemporary tensions in Jewish identity and the absurdities of representing ethnicity through data structures.
Ari holds a BFA from Florida International University and is currently pursuing an MFA in the Photo, Video, and Related Media program at the School of Visual Arts.
